Founded in 2002 by father/son duo Toshikiyo and Kiro Hirata, Kapital is an Okayama, Japan based label with a deep history of working with traditional denim craftsmanship. Since then, the brand has evolved to release their own interpretations of vintage garments from all over the world.

Another grand slam addition to the ongoing Kapital Boro collection. For centuries, Japanese agricultural laborers would utilize the boro repair technique to prolong the lifespan of damaged garments. Sashiko stitching was used to to hold additional materials in place on the damaged base item. Kapital has taken this antiquated repair practice and has turned it into globally coveted works of art, layering copious amounts of new materials of varying thickness to create 1 of 1 garments that are uniquely Kapital.  

The jacket has a wide fit with a double zipper.
The inside of the jacket is made of a blend of cupra and cotton with a boro print.
Expect a personalized patina to develop throughout the piece with frequent use.
