A Bathing Ape, also known as BAPE, is a Japanese streetwear brand that was founded in 1993 by designer Nigo. The brand's iconic camouflage pattern, known as BAPE Camo, has become synonymous with the brand and is instantly recognizable to fans of streetwear.

The BAPE Camo pattern was designed by Sk8thing and was first introduced in 1996, quickly becoming a signature design element of the brand. The pattern features a repeating motif of a stylized ape head in a range of colors and was inspired by traditional military camouflage patterns, but with a playful twist. This tee is one of the earliest uses of Black Bape Camo.
