Ann Demeulemeester is a Belgian fashion designer known for her avant-garde and poetic designs. After studying fashion design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Demeulemeester co-founded the fashion collective known as the Antwerp Six in 1985, which also included designers such as Dries Van Noten and Walter Van Beirendonck. Demeulemeester gained a cult following among fashion enthusiasts thanks to her her use of black, white, and muted tones, as well as her incorporation of deconstructed and asymmetrical elements into her designs.
